Summer Production News – Rehearsals Start!

SUMMER PRODUCTION NEWS!

Rehearsals start up again this week on Wednesday 9th March for our next exciting production.  29th June – 2nd July 2022, we will be performing William Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor in the Library of Acton Reynald Hall,  originally a 17th century Manor House, by kind permission of it’s present owners, Judith and Chris Mackley.

This production will be Directed by Richard Bray and was first planned for last year to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the founding of Shawbury Village Players. Unfortunately due to the Covid pandemic this had to be postponed till this year but we are truly delighted to at last be able to bring it to you.

The Merry Wives of Windsor is a farcical comedy that features Sir John Falstaff and is story of jealousy, marriage and lies. It is still as fun to modern audiences as it was back in Shakespeares time.
