Acton Reynald Hall

For our summer productions we have been lucky enough to have access to a large manor house which the owners still reside in and happily put up with our intrusion for a few weeks every year. Over the years we have utilised the grounds for outdoor performances and recently invaded  the main entrance hall  and library to proved a stunning backdrop for plays.

Originally a 17th century country house which was part of the Corbet Estate. The house had major alterations in the early 1800’s by the Corbet family in the Neo-Jacobean style to improve the house for their occupation, when they decided to abandon the nearby Moreton Corbet Castle and move into the Hall. In 1919 it became a School for Girls which it continued to be until 1995. It is now a private home which is not open to the general public but occasionally private events take place and so it is a privilege and experience to see the fantastic architecture of this Grade II* Listed Building.
